With the foundations firmly in place, the fourth session of the "Fundamentals of Digital Project Management" course took the leap into the most dynamic phase of any project. On April 2, 74 dedicated participants gathered to master "Methodologies for Digital Projects", the core processes that determine whether a project succeeds or fails in the real world.
Ronald Balimunsi led the cohort through the complexities of "The Doing Phase." He emphasized that a manager’s job doesn't end once the plan is set; in fact, that is exactly where the real work begins. Ronald shared practical insights on how to maintain the balance between the project's scope, time, and budget—the famous "Triple Constraint" of project management.
The session focused on three critical pillars:
Execution: Coordinating people and resources to carry out the project plan.
Monitoring: Using digital dashboards and tracking tools to observe project performance in real-time.
Control: Identifying variances from the plan and taking corrective action to steer the project back on course.
On the Digiskill e-learning platform, the module for this week provided students with simulation exercises to practice decision-making under pressure. By learning how to monitor KPIs and manage risks actively, the participants are gaining the confidence needed to handle the unpredictability of digital environments.
As we approach the final stage of this course, this Erasmus+ initiative continues to bridge the gap between "having an idea" and "executing it with professional excellence."
