The Digiskill project officially entered a new educational phase on March 12 with the launch of its first Interactive Open Online Course: "Fundamentals of Digital Project Management." The journey began with a remarkable turnout of 134 enrolled participants, all eager to master the tools and strategies that define modern project success.
The opening session, titled "Digital Transformation in Youth Work," set the stage for the weeks to come. Led by Ronald Balimunsi, an accomplished ICT professional with over a decade of experience in both academia and the industry, the session bridged the gap between technical project management and its social impact. With his deep background in ICT Management and Architectural Design, Ronald provided participants with a clear roadmap on how digital transformation can revolutionize the way youth-led initiatives are designed and managed.
In this first week, the focus was on shifting mindsets. Participants explored how digital methodologies are not just about "using computers," but about fundamentally changing how we approach problem-solving and community engagement. While the live Zoom session fostered real-time debate, the e-learning platform allowed students to dive into the first module, establishing a solid theoretical foundation in project initiation.
This marks the beginning of a 5-week intensive journey. As part of the Digiskill Erasmus+ initiative, this course represents our commitment to providing young leaders with the professional "hard skills" of project management, ensuring they are prepared to lead digital projects with precision, efficiency, and a global perspective.
