The third session of the "Fundamentals of Digital Project Management" course marked a pivotal shift in the learning journey. On March 26, 100 participants gathered to explore the structural backbone of any successful digital initiative: "Core Project Management Principles and Frameworks."
Guided by Ronald Balimunsi, the session moved beyond "what" a project is and began focusing on "how" it should be built. Ronald emphasized that in the fast-paced digital world, a solid foundation is non-negotiable. He introduced the core principles that keep a project aligned with its goals, ensuring that every digital tool used serves a clear strategic purpose.
A major highlight of the session was the deep dive into Project Methodologies and Frameworks. Participants compared different approaches, such as:
The Waterfall Model: For projects with linear, clearly defined stages.
Agile Frameworks: For digital environments that require flexibility, speed, and constant iteration.
Through the Digiskill e-learning platform, this week's module challenged students to analyze which methodology best fits their own youth-led projects. By understanding these frameworks, the cohort is no longer just "organizing tasks"—they are learning to design workflows that ensure efficiency, transparency, and high impact.
This session reinforced a vital lesson for the Digiskill Erasmus+ project: the best digital tools in the world are only as effective as the principles and frameworks that guide them.
