On September 23, the Digiskill community gathered once again to explore the complexities of moving between worlds in the fifth Online Dialogue: "Cultural Adaptation and Integration." With 102 participants tuned in, the session provided a comprehensive look at the challenges and triumphs of integrating into new cultural environments.
The discussion was expertly facilitated by Zuzana Žáčková, a specialist whose background seamlessly blends Diplomacy and International Relations with Social and Cultural Anthropology. Zuzana, who is also expanding her research into Rural Development and Agriculture, utilized her extensive experience in PR and professional writing to break down complex sociological concepts into accessible, actionable insights.
Throughout the session, the focus remained on the practicalities of cultural adaptation. Participants examined how young professionals can maintain their identity while effectively integrating into diverse global teams—a crucial skill for anyone engaged in international collaboration and digital learning. Zuzana’s multifaceted expertise highlighted that successful integration is not just about language, but about understanding the deeper social fabrics of our peers.
This event marks the completion of the first quarter of our 20-dialogue journey. As part of the Digiskill Erasmus+ initiative, we continue to provide young adults with the tools to navigate cultural boundaries with sensitivity and digital proficiency.
