10th Online Dialogue

Marking a decade of sessions in our journey, the tenth Digiskill Online Dialogue took place on February 10, bringing together 58 dedicated participants for an essential and thought-provoking conversation: "Gender and Sexuality in Intercultural Contexts." This session stood out for its focus on inclusivity and the diverse ways identity is perceived across different cultures.

We were honored to welcome back Adéla Mochanová, a social and cultural anthropologist whose expertise in multicultural environments provided a safe and academic framework for this complex topic. Drawing from her extensive field research—including her work in Portugal—Adéla bridged the gap between anthropological theory and the lived experiences of individuals navigating gender and sexuality in a globalized world.

The dialogue encouraged a deep reflection on how cultural backgrounds influence our understanding of identity. Participants explored the intersection of personal expression and social expectations, discussing how to foster respect and empathy in digital spaces. For young learners, this session was a crucial step in building the "cultural intelligence" necessary to collaborate effectively in diverse international teams.

Reaching the halfway point of our 20-dialogue series, this event reinforced the core values of the Digiskill project. Supported by the Erasmus+ initiative, we continue to provide a platform where no topic is too complex to explore, ensuring our participants are equipped with the sensitivity and digital awareness to lead in an inclusive future.
