Leadership and Teamwork in Digital Projects #2

On April 23, the DigiSkill course on "Leadership and Teamwork in Digital Projects" advanced to its second week. In this session, 80 participants reassembled to tackle one of the most critical elements of remote project success: "Communication in Digital Teams."

Guided by Anna Rodríguez Casadevall, the session focused on the unique challenges of keeping a distributed team connected, aligned, and collaborative. Drawing from her extensive background in intercultural dialogue and international relations, Anna showed participants that effective communication in digital spaces is not just about using the right chat tools—it is about creating a deliberate, structured, and culturally inclusive communication ecosystem.

The session broke down these strategies into two essential pillars:

  • Building Digital Connection: Creating clear channels and protocols that establish trust, transparency, and a strong sense of team unity across distances.

  • Leading Digital Teams: Structuring communication flows that keep remote members motivated, prevent burnout, and ensure everyone is working towards the same goals.

Meanwhile, on the DigiSkill e-learning platform, the corresponding module allowed the 80 learners to put these concepts into practice. Participants analyzed real-world communication scenarios, exploring how to choose the right digital mediums and manage expectations in a virtual workspace.

The DigiSkill project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
